The line on the screen … a shorthand story by a mother, a carer and a designer.

Partilho este recurso que, em formato de storytelling, pois pode ajudar outros que estejam a passar pela mesma experiência.

The Line, by Carla Gutterud

I’ve gone back and forth about sharing my personal story – but then I realized that maybe someone out there could be experiencing something similar… and hearing it, might bring a little understanding and connection.
I didn’t write this story for a specific audience.
It wasn’t planned or structured around who would read it.
It simply came from a need to tell it.
But as it came together, I realized it might speak to many kinds of readers: parents, caregivers, designers, or anyone curious about the human side and technical.
This story is my way of connecting #feeling with #understanding – showing how #data and #emotion can coexist, how #empathy and #information can belong in the same space.

So as you read, I hope you’ll see both sides:
📌 The technical and the caring.
📌 The mother and the designer.
📌 The story and the science – all working together to make sense of a moment that was so stressful.

🩷 With my story, I hope it sparks empathy and reminds anyone facing similar experiences that they’re not alone
